KKH or NUH

I had to go to SKH for some other medical issue and I actually updated the doctor that I just found out I am pregnant and I haven’t consulted doctor for my pregnancy yet. Than they said I can consult the gynae here at SKH, I was like ouh okay, but I later found out that they are link with KKH, I previously delivered at NUH, and feel comfortable to go to NUH, and reading the reviews of KKH is giving me so much fear. Even with SKH, I went for my 1st trans vaginal scan all the doctor said is “ouh there’s the egg sac it’s too early to see anything, we’ll see you in 3 weeks” previously in NUH they gave me a scan pic with heart beat even though it was just 7 weeks, I was 6 weeks when I went to SKH. Should I just go Polyclinic and request for NUH? I really dk.

Hi there! I completely understand your worry, especially since you've already had a positive experience at NUH before. Honestly, both hospitals are pretty comparable on cost and outcomes, it really does come down to what feels right for you. The thing is, some mums rave about KKH's streamlined workflow because they see so many patients, while others prefer NUH for the doctor quality and that personal touch you clearly valued last time. Since you're comfortable at NUH and they gave you that heartbeat scan picture at 7 weeks (which honestly sounds like great care), I'd say trust that instinct, there's no harm in going through a polyclinic and requesting NUH for continuity. You'll likely feel more at ease throughout your pregnancy if you're somewhere familiar, and that peace of mind matters. Go with your gut on this one!

if you really prefer NUH, go to polyclinic/CHAS GP and get a referral! :)
