Doctor’s appointment

I just found out I’m pregnant yesterday, I’m around 2-3 weeks I believe. Just wondering when should I book my first doctor appointment? Should I book one now to confirm my pregnancy or should I wait till around 6 weeks as I read somewhere?? Thank you!! Xx #firstbaby #firsttimemom

hello congratulations! they count the number of weeks from your last period, and ultrasound can only show pregnancy from week 6, before that your gynae can do a blood test to confirm your pregnancy. 😊 in the meantime they will ask you to start on folic acid if you havent started. hope this helps!

next step should be to make an appointment with doctor to confirm pregnancy test results. If u want to be referred to govt hospital as subsidised patient, then go to polyclinic to c doc (if u r local). Start taking folic too.
