Estimated Normal/assisted Delivery charges in SGH for either B1 or B2 ward for Singaporean

So from what I hear, the B2 ward rates at KKH are around $75.60 per day for the room itself, though some mums mention the final bill really depends on whether you need interventions like epidural or assisted delivery, those add on separately. I'd suggest calling the hospital directly or asking your gynae to give you a rough breakdown, because honestly the ward charges are just one part of it, and everyone's delivery is different so the total can vary quite a bit. A friend who delivered at a government hospital said she was pleasantly surprised it came to less than she expected once she factored in her subsidies, but definitely ask about what your actual out-of-pocket will be given your citizenship and any applicable schemes!

if you take B2, you cannot choose your doctor. Your current private gynae won’t deliver you at SGH or KKH unless you pay private rates at their private suites (like The Private Suite at KKH, that one $10k+ easily). My two cents: If you’re low risk and okay not having your private gynae for delivery, transfer to KKH subsidised clinic first (polyclinic referral), then opt for B2. You’ll save thousands. If you really want your own gynae, then stick to private hospital, govt B1 with a chosen gynae ends up not that much cheaper than Mount Alvernia or TMC.
