Yes you can request for induction at 40 weeks but ultimately it depends on your gynae's assessment and your condition lah! Most gynaes in Singapore will usually wait until 40-41 weeks before recommending induction unless there are medical reasons to do it earlier, so when you go for your next appointment just bring it up and discuss with your gynae openly about your concerns and preference. But hor, just be mentally prepared that induction can sometimes take longer than natural labour and may be more intense with the contractions, so discuss the pros and cons properly with your doctor first before deciding, and since your due date is 22 June already very soon so hang in there mummy, baby coming soon!
