When to switch to kkh private?

Hi can I ask, pregnant and currently seeing kkh under subsidized ( referral from poly ) route, when should the change to a specific gynae to assist to give birth, be made, and any recommendations? My prev gynae who has 40 years experience from Thomson, cut my small intestine during the c sec and we don't wan to go private anymore. Thank you!

Oh gosh, that must have been such a stressful experience with your previous birth. For the subsidised KKH route, you typically don't need to switch to a private gynae unless you specifically want to, since the public system assigns you a doctor closer to your due date anyway. A lot of us who've gone the subsidised route at KKH just continued with whoever was assigned and found the care really solid, so there's no rush to decide now. That said, if you're worried about your previous experience and want continuity and peace of mind, it might be worth chatting with the KKH team about your concerns when you next visit, so they can note it down for your delivery. They take these things seriously and can sometimes factor your preferences in. All the best with your pregnancy!
