Anyone has experience of small baby and need to induce?

I am at 37 week now. My baby did not grow vs 2 weeks ago during my scan. The Gynae said I need to come back to her at week 38 to see if my baby grew. If not I need to induce. What should I do? Are there other alternatives?

My son came out 2.2kg at 36weeks he is 5 yrs old now, dont worry to much, but i was not induce, my water broke.
