How to stop thumb sucking??

For older children, thumb suckling provides comfort for them especially when they are nervous. You can try to introduce alternative ways of finding comfort when they need it, e.g. buy them a small plush toy for them to hug. Also, you can borrow books on consequences of thumb suckling habit, i.e. swallowing germs and cause illness.
