How well should a k2 be able to read?

It depends. Some are able to read but unable to pronounce the words correctly. I have seen K2 who are able to read very well. Yet some are still having some difficulties when it comes to those similar sound words

If he/she has learnt Phonics, he should be able to read well already. Not very well yet but at least can read story books with short sentences.
