My girl went to ifc at 5.5mo. We didn’t prepare her. She adapts very well. Maybe you need to have a security object (eg: pacifier, soother blanket or sort). On the contrary, I feel that the mummy need to prepare herself for feeling the separation anxiety.

I’m a paranoid mum too! But try to pick baby up early for the 1st week to slowly transit her. She will be very tired at ifc compared to at home
