selecting a preschool?
How much emphasis do you place on curriculum while selecting a preschool?
I never went to pre-school when I was younger and I don't think I missed much. But that was then, these days with how competitive everything is, choosing a preschool with a good holistic curriculum could be advantageous for your child. At preschool, children become exposed to numbers, letters, and shapes. Most importantly, they learn how to socialize and get along with other children, share and contribute. Statistics show that a majority of children who attend high-quality preschools enter kindergarten with better pre-reading skills, richer vocabularies, and stronger basic maths skills than those who do not. http://www.parents.com/toddlers-preschoolers/starting-preschool/curriculum/why-preschool-matters/

Children are learning all the time so I was less focused on the actual content covered. The 4 main types of school philosophies available in Singapore are: Montessori, Reggio Emelia, Waldorf and Play-based cognitive learning.
