Just by the its sweetness, it's already appetizing as it is. But to make it more appealing, you can vary the way you cut the bananas. You may cut them into circles, cubes, or thin slices. You can even use small cookie cutters to shape them to hearts, stars, and so on.

I agree with Lisville and Jared! You may want to ask your child to be your little chef apprentice and let her assist you with some tasks even as simple as dipping the bananas into the bowl of brown sugar. This will serve as your bonding activity too!

Let your kids see how the sugar caramelizes around the banana as you fry them; not only will it entertain them, it will give them a deeper understanding of how things work.
