Don't prepare heavy meals. I give my daughter milk, banana & yogurt for breakfast. Sometimes she will request for Milk, Sunny side egg & banana. That should be enough energy for her until the next recess. And keep an eye on them when they eat. My daughter is very much like this. My dialogue for the entire school year is this " Eat Faster, double time"

You can also try giving them a bath first before breakfast. So they will feel alive and awake! That's what my daughter prefer to do first. To avoid being late in school. :)
