How can I keep my newborn awake while breastfeeding?

i remember i had to go to the NICU all through the day to feed my babies (both were c-sec and had jaundice) and they would keep falling asleep 10 minutes into feeding. i would tickle their feet and also tickle their ears and keep talking to them a little loudly. sometimes, i would look into their eyes while feeding, before they started getting too sleepy, and keep talking and making sounds. they would fall asleep eventually between feeding, but still it would give them some more time to stay awake.
