How to attract my son to babywear again? Right now he is starting to walk & run

I had the same problem when I wanted to babywear him as we were going overseas. Babywear is the first thing that came to my mind as it is the safest. I started him slowly by telling him that it is comfortable and can look at things a little higher. I slowly started to babywear him in malls and he started to enjoy it.

Try feeding him his favourite food while you are wearing him - he will eventually link his favourite food to baby wearing and want to be carried when he craves his favourite food item.
