Health concerns were raised about the cleanliness at Block 472, Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10 when worms came out from residents' water taps.
According to Shin Min Daily News, resident Ms Zhang was shocked when her maid told her that a worm came out from the water tap on December 6. Around 10pm, the maid was washing one of the children's milk bottles. She initially thought it was food, but on closer inspection discovered it was a worm.
As the mother of three children, Ms Zhang said she was very concerned about the water's cleanliness and only drinks boiled water now.
Another resident on the 11th floor, Mr Lin, told Shin Min Daily News that his wife saw a worm in the toilet two weeks ago.
PUB and the Ang Mo Kio Town Council (AMKTC) issued a joint statement, saying that a resident had informed the town council that his domestic helper had observed a worm in a glass of water that came from his kitchen tap on Dec 6.
The statement said: "The water supply from the resident's unit was found to be clean and clear during the town council's checks.
"Subsequently, AMKTC checked the water tanks and the pump room on 7 Dec and no worms were observed."
