Have you tried flip flops on your toddler? Just cute or are they also comfortable?

My girl is 6 years old now I am still hesitant to let her to wear flip-flop. I only allow her to wear when we go for a very short distance places e.g. shopping mall opposite our house. She will wear her covered shoes when she goes to school, parks and playgrounds. Young kids will tend to trip over in Flip-flop and there were escalator accidents happened involved flip-flop and crocs. Thus, I will only let my kids to wear flip-flop once they are more safety conscious, probably after entering into primary school.
