Amniocentesis

I haven't personally gone through an amniocentesis, but I know quite a few mums have had it done after screening results or due to age-related risk factors. Hopefully some mamas who have been through it can share their experiences. From what I've heard, the procedure itself is usually quite quick, and many mums say it was less painful than they expected, though understandably nerve-wracking.
