Has anyone tried using apple cider vinegar for their hair?

I have tried using apple cider vinegar as well as baking soda. But I haven't used it long enough to see the effect as it is very time consuming for me when it comes to rinsing my hair. I still have friends though who uses it up to now and their hairs were soft and shiny.
