My friend went through a fibroid removal via keyhole surgery at NUH and she said the recovery was so much smoother than she expected — she was back on her feet pretty quickly compared to open surgery. I'd suggest you call NUH's O&G department directly and ask for a referral to a specialist who handles minimally invasive procedures, they're usually quite helpful in matching you to the right doctor lah. Eh, my friend actually just did her fibroid removal at NUH earlier this year lah, she said she went to Dr Harvard Lin and was really happy with him, stayed about 4 nights in hospital and recovered quite well! She said the keyhole method meant her scars were super small and she was up and moving around faster than she expected. Hope you find a good doctor soon, gambatte!
