Honestly, if your period is already 8 days late, you're most likely already pregnant rather than just about to ovulate, usually OPK positives mean ovulation happens within 24-48 hours, so by now you should have passed that window if you're delayed. I'd suggest doing a home pregnancy test or going to the clinic to confirm, because the timing sounds promising for you!
