Ujian Papsmear

Hai mommies. Boleh tak share pengalaman buat papsmear ? Isnin haritu bawak anak checkup 2 bulan, lepas tu nurse tanya bila nak buat papsmear, mulanya saya tak sure nak buat bila sebab trauma lagi lepas bersalin haritu, tapi nurse offer utk buat hari selasa esoknya, saya on je.First time buat, sebelum ni tak pernah, lepas bersalin anak pertama dulu nurse tak pernah tanya atau offer nak buat bila, sekarang dah anak ke 2. Masa buat tu nurse cakap saya ada keputihan, taktau banyak ke sikit tapi mmg dah beberapa hari saya ada sikit keputihan.Biasanya berapa lama tempoh untuk dapat result ? Sebab saya terlupa nak tanya nurse. And kalau result normal diorang akan inform jugak tak ? Sebab haritu nurse cuma cakap kalau result abnormal diorang akan inform.Ada tak yg dapat result abnormal ? And apa prosedure seterusnya ? Saya agak risau, asyik terfikir².

Eh mummy, congrats on doing your first pap smear, that's great lah, jangan risau! Honestly a few of us tried it postpartum jugak and memang uncomfortable at first, but it's such an important screening, especially once you've had kids. Usually takes about 1-2 weeks for results, sometimes a bit longer depending on the lab, so just wait it out and try not to stress too much. The keputihan you mentioned is actually pretty normal postpartum, but good thing the nurse is checking it out through the pap smear lah. I'd suggest follow up with your clinic after a couple of weeks if you haven't heard anything, some clinics do call back with normal results, but some only inform if there's something to discuss, so it's worth confirming with them how they do it. If you're worried, just ring them up and ask, no harm asking, and it'll put your mind at ease!
