Is it normal for stitches to bleed slightly after 11 days?

Had an Episiotomy during my delivery earlier this month. Have been trying to tap dry my stitches and realised that my stitches is bleeding slightly. It is slight bleeding and i feel tightness/soreness. Any advice?

Some light bleeding and soreness at 11 days can happen as the stitches dissolve and the tissue heals, but because it is in a sensitive area and you are also feeling tightness, it is really worth calling your gynae or visiting the polyclinic just to let them take a look and rule out any infection or wound breakdown. Getting it checked early gives you peace of mind and means any issue can be caught before it becomes a bigger problem.
