SSS Maternity Leave
Hello goodday po! I just want to ask something about sa maternity leave po. Kapag po ba nahulugan sya ng 8 months during working months bago po mabuntis makakapagfile po ako ng maternity sa SSS? November po ang duedate ko. Sana po mapansin. Thanks in advance po.

So from what I understand, kailangan mo ng 3 months of contributions within the 12 months before your maternity benefit claim para ma-approve ng SSS, so kung 8 months lang contributions mo by November, that should be okay pa as long as those 8 months fall within that 12-month window! Best to call SSS directly or visit their website para ma-confirm ang exact computation based on your contribution history, kasi sometimes may retroactive contributions or payment arrangements na pwedeng i-process, and you want to make sure you're covered in time before November. A few of us moms had to follow up personally with SSS because ang requirements ay malinaw sa paper pero pag may special cases, mas mabilis ma-clarify kapag nag-personally inquire, so don't hesitate to reach out sa kanila directly, seryoso, mas mabilis yun kaysa mag-alala!
