Getting my toddler to nap in her crib but she needs her blanket (which we used to spread over her playmat as her bed). At what age can I stop worrying about SIDS?

My doctor said that SIDS normally happens on the first 6 mos. of the baby. I had the same fear when we bought the crib for my LO. Hubby would always put him there and I would not be able to sleep because I prefer to watch over him when he sleeps. If I remember it right, the worrying stopped a few months after he turned 1.
