Sore nipples

Hi first time mum who has a 3 week old here :) Is it by default that our nipples will be slightly sore if we choose to breastfeed / pump? My nipples are always painful when it touches my bra or clothing. It is also tender to touch but it’s not cracked. I wonder if this is something I have to accept and bear with if I breastfeed / pump? Or am I latching wrongly or perhaps being too sensitive? 😢 #firsttimemom #help
