For my first exceed EDD and I was induced, give birth at 41 weeks 1 day. A week before that I was 3cm dilate and membrane sweep. I had no signs of labour.
For my second exceed EDD and was supposingly induced but things dont go as plan. I give birth at 40 weeks 2 days. The day of admission I just stayed in ward, waited till past midnight. A day before I was also 3cm dilate, two times of membrane sweep at 39 weeks and 40 weeks. No signs of labour except mild contractions.
I guess depend on individual can be fast can be slow. My second born, mid of labour a whooping seconds from 3cm to 10cm, suddenly.
