A few of us mummies had GDM and yes, some did go on insulin around that time, it's actually quite common, don't worry. Yes, you'd be injecting yourself daily (usually morning and/or evening depending on your readings), but honestly the needle is so tiny you barely feel it, and after a few times it becomes routine, trust me. Since this is about managing your GDM though, best to chat with your O&G or diabetes nurse about the exact schedule and technique they want you to use, they'll walk you through everything step-by-step and answer your worries properly.
