Where you spending quality time
Hi everyone it’s a long weekend, any suggestions l, where to find a quality time in Singapore with family. I know most of the shops may be close on this CNY .. so which is best way to spend out ??

Chinatown is honestly a must-do during CNY long weekend, the light-up and street decorations are really pretty in the evening, and the night market stalls are open so you can walk around, eat, and soak up the atmosphere with the kids. My friend brought her family there last year and said it was quite enjoyable, though she mentioned it does get very crowded on the actual first and second day of CNY so going slightly later in the evening helps a little. Most shopping malls actually stay open over CNY (maybe shorter hours on the first day), so it is not as quiet as you might think, just call ahead if you are heading somewhere specific. Gardens by the Bay and some of the bigger outdoor attractions tend to be open too, so that is worth considering if your kids need space to run around rather than squeezing through Chinatown crowds. Honestly the street atmosphere is the real draw this time of year, so I would just dress comfortably, go after dinner, and enjoy it!

I usually just go for simple things like park hopping, picnic at East Coast or Gardens by the Bay, or even just a relaxed walk and snacks together at a quieter neighbourhood area. Sometimes staying home also feels very good, like movie day, board games with the kids, or cooking simple meals together without the usual rush. It’s more about the time together than the place honestly.
