With PCOS, honestly the hormone levels can be quite unpredictable, some mums I know found that early detection tests gave them false negatives because their HCG levels rise slower or less steadily than typical pregnancies, even though they were actually pregnant. Since your doctor confirmed 5 weeks earlier, it might be worth doing another test in a few days, or better yet, just go back to your doctor for a blood test (the quantitative HCG), that's much more reliable with PCOS than the home kits.
