Does your baby sleep with you? I just read it is more safer when babies sleep with their parents. Is this true?

My baby (now a toddler) sleeps on our bed! It's now getting hard because we get kicked a lot at night but I just don't know how to transition her to the crib (which is in the other room) because her routine is in our room!
