Newborn Nanny
Does anyone have contacts of nannies who can come in for 2-3 hours everyday to bathe the baby and consult on lactation etc. Not looking for a full time confinement person as english speakers are hard to come by.

Honestly, from what I've heard, there are nannies out there who specifically offer that kind of short daily slot, bathing, baby massage, and basic lactation guidance all rolled into one visit, which sounds like exactly what you need. Some even have postnatal care backgrounds so they can advise on breastfeeding alongside the bath routine, which is a nice bonus. A friend of mine went this route and said the key is to be clear upfront that you want English-speaking and to confirm they're comfortable with lactation support specifically, because not all of them are equally strong on that side. Some mums have had great experiences with this setup, though a few mentioned it took a couple of tries to find someone whose schedule matched well for daily visits rather than just 2-3 times a week. Worth asking around in your area too, someone in Katong area was looking for the same thing recently so there does seem to be supply for this kind of arrangement!

I've heard that some agencies actually have nannies who were trained by senior lactation consultants from places like Thomson Medical Centre, so they come with proper hands-on experience for both bathing and breastfeeding guidance, not just basic help. A friend of mine mentioned a lactation consultant named Melissa Wong who does postpartum support and got really good feedback for being experienced and practical with feeding advice. Some mums love the flexibility of just booking a few hours daily, though do check upfront that the nanny is comfortable communicating in English since that varies quite a bit from person to person!
