No confinement nanny

Does anyone here ever and/or choose to manage on their own with nb without hiring a confinement nanny? Is it tough or manageable?

Because baby’s birth falls near CNY so the surcharge is x.x so I didn’t have nanny or any help other than my husband. Not gonna sugar coat, definitely tough at first, especially when you’re gonna bf/pump. The hard part is trying to get used to frequent waking up to feed baby/pump, lack of sleep. I had frequent mastitis and my husband went back to work so I’m alone with baby. Even when I’m half dead, I still have to attend to baby because there’s no extra help. Other than the above, everything else is pretty much manageable. - Get more bottles and pump parts so you don’t have to wash every use, can accumulate till end of day. - Put baby in stroller or baby wear so you can at least eat/go restroom. - Get handsfree pumps instead of tubes kind so that you can free your hands/walk around while pumping. I don’t regret not having nanny because by the first month, I pretty much got used to the routine and even when my husband ended his PL, I could still manage baby myself (asides being half dead from mastitis).

Tbh, it is really tough.. However, it is manageable coz my partner is very supportive and efficient. I ordered confinement food and book a masseuse separately. Majority of the time, my partner helped me with the baby while I rest and recuperate
