Breast pump motor hand carry
Hi does anybody know if I am able to hand carry breast pump up the plane? Especially for bangkok’s airport as they have a strict regulation on their power banks capacity. Please advise thank u!

Hey mama! Good news, from what I've heard, a breast pump is generally considered medical equipment, so it usually does not count toward your carry-on bag limit and you should be fine bringing it on board. That said, someone in my mum chat group mentioned that some airlines like AirAsia actually require the pump itself to be checked in while the breast milk has to be hand-carried (up to 10 packets, each not more than 100ml), so it really does depend on which airline you're flying with. For Bangkok specifically, the power bank rules you mentioned are separate from the pump motor, so as long as your pump's battery fits within the airline's watt-hour limit, you should be okay, just double-check the specific wH rating on your pump before you go! One tip I also picked up is to request an aisle seat so you have a bit more arm space if you plan to pump on the flight itself, which is such a practical idea. Which airline are you flying on, is it AirAsia, SIA, or another carrier? That would really help narrow down the exact rules for you!
