STEROID INJECTIONS

Dear moms, Anyone of you took Dexa injection at KKH before your preterm labour? Is it okay to take? Also how was it? I have discussed this with my gynae. I am just looking for different answers. Thankyou #pregnancy #pretermBaby #AskingAsAMom

I received the steroid injections at KKH when there was a risk of preterm delivery. My gynae explained that the purpose was to help the baby's lungs mature faster in case baby arrived early. For me, the injections were manageable. The jab itself was a bit painful and my arm felt sore afterwards, but it was over quite quickly. I personally felt reassured knowing it could benefit my baby if preterm birth happened. Of course every pregnancy is different, but if your gynae has recommended it, I would trust their advice.
