scared of escalators

How old is your daughter? Did something happen / did she see an accident, have a scare on the escalator? Why not take her on a travelator and then if she is comfortable with it, hold her hand tightly and take her up and down a short escalator till she gets comfortable with it.

why is she suddenly afraid of escalators? did she fall? or saw someone who fell? you may want to talk to her to address her fears?
