I don't have personal experience with NUH private billing specifically, but what a few friends in my mums group did was start with the subsidised polyclinic route for the first trimester, then switch to private once they felt more settled and knew what they wanted. It might be worth calling NUH's billing department directly to ask for an estimate breakdown, as the fees can vary quite a bit depending on your delivery type and length of stay.
