Should I induce into labor?

Hello Currently in coming 38weeks now no sign of labor or the "bloody show" but keep on having braxton hicks and cramps. I wanted to be in lajor so. This could benover with but my biggest concern is I'm having my first baby is it okay to induce in 38weeks with your first child?
