Closed Cervix /Maliit na sipitsipitan
Is close cervix same sa maliit ang sipitsipitan?!?!? So confusing po. 37 weeks here.
I get why this is confusing. A "closed cervix" and "maliit na sipitsipitan" are related, but not exactly the same. A closed cervix means it's not dilated or open, which is normal at 37 weeks as your body prepares for labor. "Maliit na sipitsipitan" refers to the cervical opening being small or not fully ready for labor yet, even if it’s closed. Both terms can indicate that your body hasn’t started labor, but your OB will continue monitoring to see how things progress!

So, "closed cervix" just means it’s not opening yet, while "maliit na sipitsipitan" means the cervix is still tight and not fully ready for labor. At 37 weeks, your body is getting closer to delivery, but it's normal for things to still be a bit closed or tight. Don’t worry—your OB is checking on everything, and you’re almost there!
