Kids with Vitiligo

Question

Hi!My child was diagnosed with vitiligo after 1 year old siya. May white patch na tumubo kasi sa kanya. Pinapedia ko na noong hindi na gumaling. Then pedia told me vitiligo and nirefer kami sa derma. Meron namang niresita na pampabalik ng color.Anyone po na may anak din na may vitiligo? Ano po products ginagamit niyo? Or what do you do po? Would really like to ask your advise. Last time after nagka diaper rash anak ko nagmarka din ng white after gumaling. Will return to derma din this weekend. Thank you po.

Ay mama, I can understand kung gaano ka-worry yan, lalo na it started so young pa lang. One of my mum friends' daughter din may vitiligo and honestly it's been a journey for them, the dermatologist prescribed a topical steroid cream at first, and they were consistent with it, then eventually the color started coming back slowly lang pero it did. The good news is your pedia and derma are already on it, so you're doing everything right! Definitely bring up the new patch during your weekend visit kasi sometimes vitiligo can show up in different areas, especially after skin irritation like the diaper rash. Hang in there, mama, marami kaming moms dealing with this and it's manageable with the right treatment plan.
