Would a child grown in total isolation develop a language?

I don't think i understand your query completely, especially the total isolation part. do you mean the child will grow up without any other human company? in that case, the child will still learn to communicate and form a language based on sign, as well as the sounds he or she hears nearby, such as the sound of birds, or vehicles, or animals, or even the rustling of leaves and the chirping of crickets.
