Aww mama, I feel you. Kadang-kadang we do so much untuk everyone, pastu pada hari kita sendiri... tu je lah. A few of my mum friends and I actually talk about this a lot, how we've stopped expecting and just appreciate it when ada orang care, but honestly it hurts right? Jangan lah hard on yourself for penat berlakon happy, that's real and valid. Maybe instead of waiting for the grand gesture, do something nice untuk yourself je, beli yang you want, set aside some quiet time, atau treat yourself to that dinner alone or with a friend yang truly sees you. You deserve that appreciation from yourself dulu, bukan as a consolation prize tapi as a celebration of you being you.
