Baby 7-8 weeks fussiness

Baby became a lot more fussier suddenly this week, am unsure if this is normal or anything? He doesn’t want to nap; and only naps if I put him in the carrier. He used to be calm after drinking/ in the morning but now he just keeps crying. How long does it last? He’s 1 month 3 weeks. Am trying to keep sane, and I really need tips

Around 7-8 weeks is pretty common for babies to hit a fussy patch, and sometimes it can catch us off guard because they were calmer before. The carrier napping is actually pretty normal at this age because they feel your movement and closeness, so don't worry that he's "regressed". It could be a leap, a growth spurt, or just general developmental change, but sudden fussiness like this might be good to check with your PD just to rule out things like reflux or discomfort. In terms of how long it lasts, it really varies from baby to baby, but most parents find it passes within a few weeks once you get into a rhythm that works for him. For now, try to be gentle with yourself because you're doing fine, and if the carrier works for naps, that's a win not a crutch.
