Baby's food

Hi. My baby is 1year old and 6months, but he's very picky when it comes to eating. He doesn't eat however he likes to eat pancit (miswa, sotanghon) hotdog, ham, biscuits, yakult, dutchmill, apples, orange and mango. He also drinks his vitamins, and sleep twice a day. Before ganang gana sya kumain ng kanin with sabaw and vegetables. Only this month he started not eating riceeee. Pero breastfeed naman sya po. Hindi niya gusto uminom ng gatas/formula. Any advice or suggestions po?

Aww, yan talaga ang challenging phase, one of my mum friends' toddler went through the same thing around that age, refuse rice out of nowhere pero willing pa rin kumain ng ibang carbs like noodles kaya hindi kami nag-panic. Since he's okay with pancit, miswa, at hotdog, I'd say focus muna sa making sure he's getting enough protein and calories from what he will eat rather than forcing the rice; the fact na breastfeeding pa siya is honestly a big help dahil nakakakuha pa rin siya ng nutrients from you. But I'd really suggest checking with your pedia about this sudden change from rice kasi baka may underlying reason, plus they can guide you kung need pa ng additional vitamins or adjustments sa diet given na medyo limited ang variety niya right now. In the meantime, try mixing veggies into his pancit or adding them sa hotdog, sometimes it works kung hindi obvious, at least laging may nutrients kahit medyo picky siya. Fingers crossed ito lang phase at lalampas din!
