Injectable contraceptive to pills

Question

Hi ask ko lang po ok lang po ba mag take ng contraceptive pills (althea) kahit po naka injectable na po ako? And kapag po kaya mag switch from inject to pills? Kailan po kaya pwede? I mean after po matapos ng effect date ng inject saka po magpipills? Hindi po kasi maganda effect sakin ng inject 😅 pero hindi naman po nakakabuntis talaga kaso nagbebreak outs and super tumataba na po kasi ako, dami na po kasi nagrerecommend sakin mag try ng pills (which is Althea brand), kaso po not sure if kailan na pwede i take or baka mamaya hindi ako hiyang or bigla ako mabuntis 😅😅 yung friend ko po kasi may pcos sya and yung pills na pinainom sa kanya althea then nabuntis sya kahit nagpipills siya. anyone po can give suggestions, comments or recommendations, are well appreciated ❤️ thank you po.- first time mom po ako ng 2 yrs old baby boy ❤️THANK YOU PO 😊

Hi mama! Honestly, yan talaga ay best na itanong sa OB mo directly kasi may standing orders sya based sa your specific health, and important na malaman if you need na mag overlap pa ng methods during transition or pwede agad, esp since may side effects ka na from the inject! From what I know, some doctors say pwedeng mag start ng pills while still protected ng inject, pero it really depends sa timing at sa body mo, a few of us moms tried switching at different points kaya basta check with your doctor kung safe na for you. About your friend with PCOS, siguro naman may iba pang factors dun, pero the good news is marami pang ibang pill brands available if Althea won't work for you, so huwag mag-worry na yan lang options mo! Definitely see your OB na, mama, dala mo lahat ng concerns mo like the breakouts and weight gain so she can recommend what suits your body best.
