sss maternity benefit

Hindi ako sure exactly kung paano ang rules ngayon sa SSS matben kasi mabilis nagbabago ang policies, pero from what I've heard from other mums, usually kailangan mong updated ang contributions mo before the cutoff period para ma-qualify. A few of us tried to ask directly sa SSS office mismo kasi mas accurate ang sagot nila, and honestly that's your best bet, they can check your account and tell you kung okay pa ba ang 3-month gap mo or if you need to settle it before your due date. Ang kaibigan ko naman, nag-update siya agad ng arrears kasi worried siya ma-delay ang benefits, so maybe don't risk it and just settle kung kaya mo, lalo na first time mom ka pa lang.
