Week 33, belly feels numb and tingly but baby still moving
Anyone experienced this? I checked with my gynae and she said to monitor baby’s movements. As long as still moving its ok. But wondering if anyone else has similar experience.

33 weeks already so much going on with your body, very understandable you're a bit worried lah! My neighbour actually had the exact same thing around that stage, her gynae explained it's usually the skin and nerves stretching so much that they go a bit numb, like how scar skin feels when you scratch it, very strange sensation but apparently quite common. Someone in my mum WhatsApp group also mentioned hers felt almost like anesthesia around the front of the belly, and her doctor said it could be nerves getting compressed or pinched as the tummy expands so fast. A friend of mine tried doing gentle stretching and changing positions slowly, she said it helped a bit with the tingly feeling, also just resting more. Since your baby is still moving actively, that's really reassuring, but since everyone's body is different, still good to loop back with your gynae or a specialist just to be sure okay!
