Itching in pregnancy

Itching during pregnancy is pretty common, honestly, I had it too around that time and it was just my skin stretching as everything started to expand, especially on the belly and thighs. That said, since it's a new thing for you it might be good to mention it to your PD or gynae at your next visit, just to rule out anything like cholestasis or a skin condition, especially if it gets worse or spreads. In the meantime, keep the area moisturised and try to avoid super hot showers since that can make itching worse. Most of the time it settles down as your skin adjusts, but better to check with the doctor to put your mind at ease.
