Any tips to take out good family photograph shots?

If you want to add some visual interest to your shots, try tilting your camera to the side for a fresh angle. The technique is also especially effective when you have straight lined subjects (think trees, a fence or a field of tall flowers). Don't be afraid to experiment with different degrees of tilts until you find what works.
