Maternity Leave

Hi, ang common maternity leave po sa PH ay 105 days. Naiisip ko baka mahirapan ako bumalik agad lalo na ung mag-aalaga, may nakatry na ba may extend ng ML nila ng 30 days? Sabi kasi sa internet pwede pero without pay na sya. Worth it naman po ba hehe at ano process, sinabi nyo lng ba sa hr na ipapaextend nyo? #1stimemom

Oo, alam ko yan, 105 days lang talaga ang standard, pero honestly a few of us tried asking HR about the unpaid extension at it really depends sa company, some are cool about it while iba strict talaga. Worth it if kaya mo financially kasi mas matagal mo makakasama baby, pero kailangan mo talagang mag-coordinate early sa HR, best way is to submit a formal request before ka mag-file ng official maternity leave, so they can process it alongside your approval na. One of my mum friends just emailed HR with her request explaining her situation, and they granted it nang walang hassle, so it doesn't hurt to ask!
