Hi there! Yes, I have experience with getting hospitalization leave before my estimated due date (EDD). It's important to talk to your healthcare provider about any concerns or medical reasons that may require hospitalization before your EDD. In some cases, mothers may need to be hospitalized for issues like preterm labor, high blood pressure, or other pregnancy-related complications. If your doctor determines that hospitalization is necessary, they will provide you with the appropriate documentation for hospitalization leave. The duration of the hospitalization leave will depend on your specific medical needs and the recommendations of your healthcare provider. It's important to communicate openly with your employer about your situation and provide them with any necessary documentation from your healthcare provider. During this time, it's also important to focus on self-care and follow the recommendations of your healthcare team. Rest as much as possible, follow any prescribed medications or treatments, and stay in close communication with your healthcare provider. It can be a challenging time, but seeking support from family and friends can also make a big difference. Remember, every pregnancy is unique, and it's important to prioritize both your health and the health of your baby. Wishing you all the best as you navigate this journey as a new mom! #adviceplease #newmom https://invl.io/cll6she

I did asked the doc frm NUH to gv me HL in 35 weeks unfortunately the doc said is under GOVERNMENT(MOH) they gt protocol cz the hospital given too many HL. So i decided to take advance maternity leave plus after my birth i requested for 1 mnth HL.

Under KKH. Got my HL at w35 close to w36. Good that my gynae recognises that even without any concerning medical condition we do feel easily tired now and need time to rest before commencing ML..

I’ve tried asking it from the doctor at KKH, but they don’t give it :/ I hear it will be easier if you have gone to private gynae at private clinics. They are more understanding

My gynae offered me if I need HL from 35 weeks onwards but I’m told want to hold it back cause there’s work stuffs to settle, planning to take HL from 38 weeks onwards

Checked with my clinic previously and they say HL is only given if there’s medical condition, but you can request for MC. Am planning to request to wfh till I pop..

Requested for HL from week 37 onwards
